Day 1: Siem Reap (-/L/D)

Local English speaking guide meets you at the Siem Reap International Airport. Hotel transfer and check-in. Rest of the morning is free and easy. Lunch is served at the hotel. Angkor Wat tour starts in the afternoon. Angkor Wat is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the largest religious building ever built throughout the history of human civilization. Watch the glorious setting of the sun on top of Bakheng Hill afterwards. Welcome dinner is served at the Apsara Holiday Hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Siem Reap (B/L/D)

Breakfast is served at the hotel. Proceed to the  southern gate of Angkor Thom to see the Bayon  Temple which showcases a multitude of serene and massive stone faces on the walls of its 54 towers; Elephant and Leper King Terraces which are believed to have been used as royal cremation sites; Baphuon, and Phimean Akas. Lunch is served at a city restaurant. Afternoon itinerary includes visits to Ta Keo, Ta Prohm, Sras Srang and Prasat Kravan. Enjoy a one-hour foot massage in the city after a full day trek around the temples. Dinner is served at the Apsara Holiday Hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Siem Reap (B/L/D)


Breakfast is served at the hotel. Day commences with a visit to Banteay Srey, 25 kms northeast of the main group of temples built largely of red sandstone and is praised as the jewel of Khmer art. Proceed to Banteay Samre which is one of the most complete among the temple complexes at the Angkor Archaeological Park.  Lunch is served at the hotel. Afternoon itinerary includes a boat excursion to the fishing village on Tonle Sap, also known as the Great Lake. Dinner is served at a city restaurant with a cultural show. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Siem Reap - Kampong Thom 146 km (B/L/D)


Transfer to Kampong Thom after breakfast with stop over at an ancient bridge built during the 12th century at Kampong Kdei District. Lunch is served at a city restaurant in Kampong Thom after hotel check-in. Visit Sambor Prei Kuk in the afternoon, a pre-Angkorean 7th century temple complex principally made of bricks. Dinner is served at a city restaurant. Overnight at Arunras Hotel, Kampong Thom.

Day 5: Kampong Thom - Kompong Cham 129 km (B/L/D)


Transfer to Kampong Cham after breakfast with stop over at Skuon to meet the spider vendors. Spiders are made into palatable snacks in this area. Lunch is served at a city restaurant in Kampong Cham after hotel check-in. Tour to Nokor Bachey temple, Phnom Bros and Phnom Srey will follow. Dinner is served at a city restaurant. Overnight in Kampong Cham.

Day 6: Kompong Cham - Kratie 191 km (B/L/D)


Transfer to Kratie after breakfast, with stop-over at the rubber plantation in Chup for a few minutes. Lunch is served at a city restaurant upon arrival in Kratie. Visit the 100 Pillars Wat in the afternoon, which houses historical artifacts in a beautiful, tranquil setting. Then proceed to Kampie Dolphins viewing site, 15 km north of Kratie province. The site has 40-60 dolphins. If you want to go dolphin watching, arrangement should be made with the ferry man for boat rental. Dolphins move from place to place so chances of seeing a dolphin within an hour is not guaranteed. Tourists are not allowed to swim or throw anything into the water. Noise is also prohibited as this disturbs the sanctuary of the dolphins. Souvenirs are available around the area. Head back to town. Dinner is served at a city restaurant. Overnight in Kratie.

Day 7: Kratie (B/L/D)


Take a 10-minute boat cruise to Koh Trong Islands after breakfast. An ox-cart, horse cart, or bicycle awaits you on the other side of the island to be used for a look-see at the local life in the area. A tree-planting activity will follow at Wat Ty Pram Kbal Koh Trong. This should be booked a day in advance. Lunch is served at a local residence. Ox-cart ride will continue around the village to see the rice fields and farm. Head back to Kratie in the mid-afternoon. Dinner is served at a city restaurant. Overnight in Kratie.

Day 8: Kratie- Stung Treng 142 km (B/L/D)


Transfer to Stung Treng after breakfast. Head straight to Stung Treng Women's Development Center upon
arrival where women hand-weave silk. A variety of handmade silk products are available for purchase as souvenirs. Lunch is served in the center. Visit Hang Khou Ban in the afternoon where they cook sticky rice delicacies. Head back to town to catch the sunset along the river. Dinner is served at Mekong Nature Lodge. Overnight in Stung Treng.

Day 9: Stung Treng - Norngnakhien - Khone Phapeng - Done Khone - Done Khong (-/L/D)


Local English speaking guide will meet you at Norngnakhien border. Car transfer to Khone Phapheng, the biggest cascade on the Mekong River. Take a short boat trip to Nakasang Village. Walk around the quiet island to witness the daily life of the local people and see the remains of French architecture. Take another boat trip to the biggest island - Done Khong which takes 2 hours. Hotel checkin upon arrival. Overnight in Done Khong.

Day 10: Done Khong - Wat Phou - Pakse (B/L/D)

Visit the local market after breakfast. Enjoy a boat excursion on the Mekong River afterwards, heading to Champassack and explore a pre-Angkorean temple, Vat Phuo. Then proceed to Bolaven Plateau, a coffee and tea plantation which is 60 kms on road from Wat Phou. Head to Phakse for check-in and dinner. Overnight in Phakse.

Day 11: Phakse – Vientiane (B/L/D)


Airport transfer to catch flight to Vientiane. Local English speaking guide meets you at the Vientiane Airport. Hotel transfer and check-in. Start sightseeing tour around Vientiane. Visit Wat Sisaket, Hor Prake, That Luang and Patuxai. Enjoy sunset along the river afterwards. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 12: Vientiane – Luang Prabang (B/L/D)

Free and easy morning until airport transfer for flight to Luang Prabang. Local English speaking guide meets you upon arrival at Luang Prabang. It is a UNESCO-recognized World Cultural Heritage City and perhaps the best preserved one in the Southeast Asia with amazing tranquility and charm. Hotel transfer and check-in. Proceed to Mount Phousi to explore the sacred gilded stupa. Watch the sunset over the panoramic view of the ancient city and the Mekong River. Visit the Night Market in the evening on your own, if . Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 13: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Short, guided tour to Wat Visoun which is the city’s oldest stupa, and the shrines of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong. Take an upstream Mekong River cruise to look around the countryside and an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. These are two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Stop over the village of Ban Xang Hai along the way for local rice wine tasting. Proceed to Ban Phnom, a village well-known of its hand weaving industry. Head back to town. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 14: Luang Prabang – Kuangsy Falls (B/L/D)

An optional early start gives you a fantastic opportunity to witness the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting alms from the faithful residents. It is a Buddhist procession uniquely preserved and practiced in Laos. After breakfast, visit the National Museum which used to be the Royal Palace, where a collection of artifacts that reflect the richness of Lao culture are displayed. An optional guided visit to the silver smith village, Fine Arts School or the Central Market can be arranged. Visit Kuangsy Falls in the afternoon with a few stop-overs at minority villages. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 15: Departure (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for departure.
